Sup, Peeps—I See a Peeps Icee Is Here to Sip

Well folks, it is officially Easter according to candy companies everywhere and you know what that means: candy collabs as far as the eye can see. Peeps—those cute, sugar-coated marshmallow candies—are basically synonymous with Easter, so naturally they’re getting in on that action. Of course there are always other-thing-flavored Peeps on shelves—this year we got Rice Krispies Treats Peeps and Breyers Cookies & Cream Ice Cream Peeps, for instance—but this year, the brand is branching out into Peeps-flavored other things. As we previously reported, Promised Land Dairy recently released Peeps-flavored milk. But if that doesn’t quench your insatiable thirst for a marshmallow flavored beverage—hey, maybe you’re lactose intolerant!—then you can hold out for the new Peeps ICEE.

Will the new Peeps ICEE taste like a marshmallow slushie? Does that sound good? This is not rhetorical; tell us your thoughts. We literally cannot decide whether this sounds good or not.

First let’s talk basics. This ICEE itself will be yellow, and will reportedly have the “unmistakable Marshmallow sweetness of Peeps.” According to Peeps, it will present a new way for die-hard Peeple (the official fandom name for Peeps lovers that I came up with just now) “to enjoy our classic Marshmallow flavor.” So it’s looking like these things will be marshmallow-flavored and is currently available at select Target stores, Main Event locations, and Regal Theaters. So yes, this does mean you could watch a chick flick while drinking a chick-shaped-marshmallow-flavored slushie. You could watch a chick flick while flicking chick-flavored sticky slurpee stuff at your friend Rick. You could do a whole chick flick chick schtick is all I’m sayin’. But I digress.

It should be noted that in 2024 Peeps came out with ICEE Blue Raspberry flavored Peeps, so it seems only fitting that this year there is a yellow, marshmallow-flavored ICEE. And not only is this not the first Peeps ICEE crossover event, this is also not the first marshmallow ICEE flavor as back in 2024 ICEE released a flavor called Mischievous Mini-Pufts for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, and people did not hate it. So basically, they seem to know what they’re doing, but only time will tell if this ICEE is the new flavor of the Peeple, or if it’s not worth chicking out.
