Pepperidge Farm does a lot for the holidays. Between rebranding half their cookies with a seasonal glow-up and producing new cookies for us to fall in love with, they’ve got a solid claim to being the official cookie of Christmas. Pepperidge Farm was nice enough to send over their whole holiday lineup so I could give y’all the full rundown. Ranked from least-to-most-favorite (in my personal opinion), here are six red-bagged cookies you can find on shelves this season.

Mint Brussels

Holy cow, these are crunchy! If you’re looking for a cookie to drown out any conversations at the holiday party, Mint Brussels are easily one of your tastiest options for white noise.

Peppermint Milano Slices

While the peppermint pieces used on this non-sandwiched Milano cookie are softer than straight candy cane, they’re still quite crunchy compared to the crisp Milano cookie texture we all came to the party for. If you’re a Milano fan looking for a minty variant, just grab a bag of Mint Chocolate Milanos and call it a day.

Holiday Nog Chessmen

While these aren’t officially labeled Chessmen, there’s no mistaking these buttery shortbread cookies—even under an eggnog glaze. For my tea-fanatic girlfriend, these are a step down from the original Chessmen cookies for her preferred consumption method: dunking. That said, these would be a great top layer for some holiday banana pudding.

Raspberry Linzer

These taste and look like such classic Christmas cookies. Throw these on a plate, and no one will guess you got them out of a paper bag. I’d love to see more linzer cookie flavors in the future; Pepperidge Farm’s elevated fruity sandwich cookie is too good for just raspberry.

Thin & Crispy Peppermint Cocoa Cookies

I might owe Pepperidge Farm an apology. For over a year now, I’ve been convinced this new “Thin & Crispy” line was just an attempt to take on Tate’s Bake Shop. Now that I’ve actually eaten one of these cookies, I can say they aren’t really the same thing at all. I was surprised at the thickness and softness, in all the best ways. It’s certainly thinner and crispier than their Soft Baked line, but these are still substantial compared to Tate’s super-crisp lineup.

Amaretto Hot Chocolate Milano

Here they are, folks: the best Pepperidge Farm’s cookie. Not just for the holidays, but all year round. I bought a bag at Target the second I saw them, despite knowing my samples would be arriving in the mail a day later. I live for these rich little treats; I might die of happiness if I ever think to dip them in actual hot chocolate.
