It’s the Fourth of July and if there’s one state that’s ready to go all out, it’s certainly Florida. How else would they get all that news coverage that they’re known for? While Publix isn’t just a Florida grocery store, it’s still foundational to their brand so it fits the mold. While these picks for the best Fourth of July finds at Publix aren’t quite as whacky as what you’ll find in the newspaper, they’re still news worthy in their own right. Here are the foods that real Publix fanatics will love to find for their July 4th gatherings.

New York Style Potato Salad
You know we had to include it. If you’re throwing your Fourth of July party in a city that has access to a Publix, you’re basically legally required to have this potato salad on deck. There’ll be riots in the streets if you don’t! It’s no secret that we’re big fans of this one here at Sporked, naming this potato salad one of the best foods available at Publix: “The potatoes have the consistency of soft, sautéed breakfast potatoes and taste like they’ve been marinating for hours in spices. The creamy mayo dressing has a mild vinegar tang and very delicate sweetness.” This potato salad is like no other.
Lagunitas Brewing Co. Daytime Beer
The name of this beer is “Daytime” beer but I have it on good authority that you can drink this into the evening, too! Which is ideal because we need something to sip on while we watch the fireworks fly overhead on the Fourth of July. Mind you, I said watch, not while lighting off fireworks. Leave the dangerous stunts to the sober people. Sip on a few of these IPAs from Publix and have yourself a good, and safe, time.
Primal Kitchen Cilantro Lime Dressing & Marinade
A full July 4th spread is going to have you feeling mighty heavy by the end of the night! Let’s get a lighter dressing from Publix so we can at least pretend to have something healthy on our plate. Primal Kitchen’s cilantro lime dressing will add a bright, tangy twist to your salad and you can use any sauce that’s leftover as a marinade for some grilled chicken on the side!
Smithfield Jalapeno & Cheddar Bratwurst
Come on! Did you really think I was going to have a Fourth of July Publix haul and not have some kind of grilled meat? Get real. We were pretty excited when Smithfield shared the news that these were launching for the 2026 summer season. I’m glad to finally get a chance to pull them out and pass them out to everyone at the party. Get these and an inconveniently packed set of eight hot dog buns (seriously, it’s 2026 let’s get those numbers to match) and fire up the grill!
Boar’s Head Yellow American Cheese
I know what you’re thinking. “American cheese without burgers?!” Well, I figured you could get those on your own. Or maybe you’re still working through that 10 pound log of ground beef you get from Costco. Either way, let’s get some American cheese to put on those burgers that you definitely got. This is the good stuff. That means you can also use it in a charcuterie board and I think it’d suffice. Boar’s head also makes cheddar cheese though, so you can also get that from Publix for your Fourth of July snacking needs.
