Grocery prices just keep climbing and filling your cart each week is getting increasingly expensive. But if you’re an Aldi regular like I am, you know that it’s possible to stock your fridge, freezer, and pantry without blowing your entire budget in a matter of minutes.

While Aldi is known (and loved!) for its low prices, first-time shoppers should know that not everything in the store is a good deal. A jar of Rao’s is still going to cost you whether you grab it at Aldi or another grocery store—but if you look for Aldi’s own store brands and know which items offer serious bang for your buck, you can stock up on the Aldi groceries for less than $10 and walk away with plenty that’ll satisfy hunger.
My go-to approach is choosing under-$10 foods that are filling and versatile. Get your money’s worth and enjoy these stellar picks for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even dessert.
Season’s Choice Berry Medley ($7.69)
Yes, this is a pretty boring pick. But with the state of fresh berries and lettuce right now (Cyclospora isn’t slowing down!), frozen is a better bet. Plus, frozen berries offer way more value for your money because they won’t rot in your fridge faster than you can snack on them.
I always toss a bag of Season’s Choice Berry Medley in my cart so I have 32 ounces of frozen blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries at the ready. For under $8, that’s so many servings of fruit that I can turn into smoothies, add to yogurt, or even spoon over ice cream. I’ll even add them to pancake and waffle batter on the weekends for more use cases.
Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen Original Thin Crust Pepperoni Pizza ($3.29)
Aldi shoppers know Mama Cozzi’s is always where it’s at when you need a quick meal. I love these frozen pizzas so much that they’re a weekly staple in my house (ask my toddler what’s for dinner on Wednesdays and he’ll tell you all about this pepperoni pizza). After all, where else can you score a pizza for under $3.50? If you’ve got room in your freezer, I highly recommend stocking up.
The thin crust pizza is, in my opinion, the best buy because it’s cheap, satisfying, and comes in an array of topping choices, all of which are under $4. If pepperoni isn’t your jam, you can snag a sausage pizza, and there’s also a Meat Lover’s version with both. Or, keep things simple with classic cheese—but every variety rings up at the same price.
Kirkwood Crispy Nuggets ($6.75)
These aren’t your typical weak chicken nuggets. This Aldi freezer aisle staple is a standout, and I love how well these nuggets resemble real chicken—and they’re a decent dupe for Chick-fil-A nuggets, too. They’re thicker, tastier, and feature better breading than, say, dino nuggets or your typical strips from the freezer section.
Cook these nuggets in the toaster oven, air fryer, or even regular oven, and they crisp up perfectly while staying moist inside. And, while premium chicken nuggets like these can be noticeably more expensive at your regular grocery store, Aldi’s stocked them for under $7 so you can whip up a super quick meal for less than $10 in total, even with dipping sauces.
Breakfast Best Protein French Toast Sticks ($5.29)
Browse Aldi’s frozen foods, and you’ll find plenty of quick, easy, and affordable breakfast picks. These protein-packed French toast sticks are my go-to, though, because they taste just as good as Aldi’s basic frozen ones with an extra hunger-satisfying punch. And they last long enough in this 1-pound box to give you solid value for their under-$6 price tag.
These frozen French toast sticks feature 12 grams of protein per serving (which is four sticks), a solid amount to start your day and keep hunger at bay. Plus, they’re made with whole wheat for another nutritious perk. The cinnamon-sprinkled topping adds just enough sweetness that I even like to skip the syrup altogether when munching on these.
Specially Selected Caramel Cone Ice Cream ($3.79)
This is a recent addition to Aldi’s frozen foods section and it’s one that’s well worth grabbing right now. It debuted on July 15th and it’s already replaced my usual Ben & Jerry’s or Häagen-Dazs pints. If, like me, you love the Häagen-Dazs flavor Caramel Cone, this is the perfect dupe—and it’s just $3.79.
This premium flavor tastes just as good as more expensive pints, with a thick caramel swirl and chunks of fudgey, chocolatey waffle cone pieces mixed into vanilla ice cream. It’s indulgent enough that a pint will last you (although, in my opinion, it’s incredibly easy to eat an entire one for say, dinner after a long day).
