Have you got July 4 fatigue yet? If you have, we’d get it – there’s been a long buildup to the big day, in the food world at least. We’ve seen seemingly endless releases of July 4-themed foods and drinks, and as of today, they’re still comin’ (even though they sound pretty good: We like the look of Sam’s Club’s new sundae). With so many options to choose from, we wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to seek comfort in the familiar.

And you might just find that at Trader Joe’s. The store isn’t going wild for July 4 this year; instead, it’s sticking with all of its standard, already interesting items, secure in the knowledge that they’ll slap at a July 4 cookout. Its customers feel the same, too – and when one of them asked what people would go for on the big day, they were full of opinions.
Trader Joe’s Has Got Your July 4 Covered (According To Reddit)
Over on Reddit, there’s been a thread bubbling along for the last 24 hours or so, where TJ’s customers have been sharing what they’d stock up on ahead of July 4. As you might expect, the recommendations have been heavy on sharing options, and specifically, dips and chips. Trader Joe’s Salsa, Creamy Spinach & Artichoke Dip, Unexpected Cheddar Spread, and Caesar Salad Dip have so far all received shout-outs. We dubbed the latter the king of all the dips, so we’d definitely agree with that one. Its Saddle Potato Chips, Multigrain Pita Bite Crackers, and rice crackers are also must-buys.
Sticking with appetizers, TJ’s fans called on the power of its Jalapeño & Cream Cheese Crispy Wontons to keep people satisfied, as well as its Parmesan Pastry Pups. Oh, and grab some of its Basil and Garlic Monterey Jack Cheese to layer on some crackers. God. I’m hungry.
And To Drink?
Yes, yes, Trader Joe’s has your back there, too. Customers recommended picking up some of its lemonades and limeades, specifically its Organic Jalapeño Limeade, to keep everyone happy. Its Sparkling Coconut Water with Yuzu also got namechecked as a go-to over the weekend (hey, you’ll need something to keep you refreshed in between those beers, if you’re drinking ‘em).
As for entrées, this is where another store might be best – Trader Joe’s shines in its snack options, but if you’re catering for a big group, it might all get a little expensive. But for your light bites? You’re spoilt for choice, people! Just get stocked up before they sell out.
