Dirty Dew Is Coming and We’ve Got the Details

Sometimes, you get news from an official press release supplied by the brand. Sometimes, you get news by finding a product on shelves a few weeks early. And sometimes, you get news by being sent a photo from a sampling event that corroborates over a year’s worth of leaks and rumors regarding a particular product. If it wasn’t obvious, today fits into the third category. Yes, the rumors about “Dirty Mountain Dew” (officially titled Mountain Dew Dirty Dew, which will certainly terrify anyone unfamiliar with dirty soda) seem to have finally come to fruition. Let’s get into it.

So is there going to be dairy in this Mountain Dew?

While we don’t have the full ingredients list at this time, I am extremely confident there won’t be actual cream in this soda. My first piece of evidence supporting this hunch is “ew.” Can you imagine a soda that had to be kept cold to avoid spoilage?

The second reason is based on some of the text in the blurry image I was sent from that sampling event. Right underneath the “DIRTY DEW” title is the phrase “CREAM SODA,” which makes a lot more sense than adding any sort of dairy. 

When does Mountain Dew Dirty Dew come out?

We don’t know the exact release date, but I’ve heard from a few sources that we can expect this to hit shelves in spring 2026. Mountain Dew Dirty Dew will be available in 12oz can 12-packs as well as 20oz bottles. And, because 2026 will truly be the future we were warned about promised, this creamy Dew variant will be sold in full and zero sugar.

What is with all these dirty sodas?

You’re telling me. Coca-Cola is pushing their Orange Cream cola through the start of 2026 (plus a Cherry Float variant coming in February, if you hadn’t heard) and Pepsi’s still riding the high of their successful Wild Cherries & Cream launch earlier this year. Don’t get me started on that pepperoncini soda Mountain Dew made with Papa John’s either. I don’t know what’s going on in the western U.S., but I’m blaming them for the invasion of “dirty soda.” This has something to do with Crumbl Cookies, I just know it…
