‘Tis the season of soccer – and boy, don’t we know it here at Sporked! World Cup-themed foods and drinks have been coming across our desk every day, as we ramp up to the start of the tournament (which begins next Thursday, just in case you’d managed to miss all the hype – and if you have, I respect it). Little Debbie’s, Coca-Cola, and Chips Ahoy are just the latest companies to release sports-adjacent products (and we tried the new Chips Ahoy flavors, too).

Now, Baskin-Robbins is getting in on the fun, with a limited-edition flavor that may not be an official FIFA partnership – we’ll leave that to Lay’s and its 40 new chip varieties – but which is fun nonetheless. Let’s take a look at what the ice cream store’s got in…store. Look, I tried!
Fútbol Fireworks
As per Allrecipes, Baskin-Robbins has just dropped its Fútbol Fireworks flavor as its June Flavor of the Month. Starting yesterday, June 1, you can grab this incredibly vibrant new variety at its locations around the country. Fútbol Fireworks definitely has a lot going on: This flavor is a combination of sweet cream soda ice cream and cherry sherbet, both of which make their first appearance at Baskin-Robbins in this recipe. It’s then scattered with green apple-flavored popping candy and hit with a blue raspberry swirl.
So, this is a busy flavor, and it looks the part too: Scoops of Fútbol Fireworks actually look like their namesake, with red, pink, white, blue, and green colors bursting from each cup. Or cone. Or, if you wish, milkshake – because Baskin-Robbins is offering the flavor in all three forms. Remember, though, that this will only be around for June, before the store moves on to pastures new. If you like the sound of it, you have T-minus 28 days.
A Monthly Moment
Baskin-Robbins has been making a real splash this year with its monthly flavors. Last month, it gave customers a Graham Chocolate Honeycomb, which felt very appropriate for late spring, and the month before that, it was a Dubai chocolate-inspired affair. The latter slotted in with the seemingly increased push from food companies to incorporate chocolate and pistachio into ice cream flavors, as seen in Ghirardelli’s recent offerings.
But fireworks-themed ice cream? It’s standing out from the pack there. Get it while it’s hot (by which I mean, of course, cold – you won’t begrudge me the opportunity to slot that saying in, will you?).
