Spider-Man: Brand New Day is hitting theaters in just a few weeks. As someone with a completely normal amount of Spider-Man knowledge, I’m looking forward to the dream sequence where Peter Parker grows four extra arms as part of his apotheosis into Man-Spider. I’m sure this movie’s inclusion of Bruce Banner, a character defined by his resistance to the bestial form he mutates into, is totally unrelated to the overarching theme of evolution laid out by Keith David’s narration in the trailers. And don’t get me started on how the Punisher will act as a devil to Bruce’s angel, offering Peter a glimpse of what life is like when you dive headfirst into your most animal urges without hesitation.
Anyway, Little Caesars has a new “Webberoni” pizza inspired by Spider-Man‘s favorite mode of transportation. Since I live at the deep center of a college town, I can walk to at least 3 different Little Caesars locations. Let’s find out whether a Webberoni Pizza is worth the upcharge.

New Little Caesars Pizza!

If I had a nickel every time a mostly-red Marvel superhero was the poster boy for a pizza with an alternative take on pepperoni as a thematic topping, I’d have two nickels. In 2024, DiGiorno released four Deadpool & Wolverine frozen pizzas; the “Maximum Pep” featured both regular pepperoni slices and diced pepperoni, with the implication being that Wade Wilson sliced and diced a pepperoni right above your pizza. (Sadly, Blaze Pizza’s Sweet Heat pizza, inspired by Daredevil: Born Again, used double pepperoni rather than a unique style. I was so close to a third nickel.)
Pros: Much like that DiGiorno pizza, I really dig the unique texture of non-standard pepperoni. The shreds are crispier since they aren’t cooked flat under a layer of grease, making for a crunchier bite–not always my favorite thing in pizza, but it works here.
To better adhere this alternative topping to the Webberoni pizza itself, a toasted two-cheese blend is added after the pepperoni. The shreds of cheese add to the overall “webbed” visual they’re going for, and I’m never going to complain about extra cheese on a pizza. Overall, this was definitely better than the classic Little Caesars Hot-n-Ready pizza, easily worth the few extra bucks.
Cons: Most of my complaints with those Hot-n-Ready pizzas are that I want more–more sauce, more cheese, and more toppings. While I’m almost happy with the quantity of pepperoni and cheese on this Webberoni pizza, the end result still feels incomplete. I’d love to see another chain tackle this concept with nicer ingredients and larger portions of them.
