9 Best Keto Foods That Actually Taste Good

When we talk about the best keto foods over here at Sporked, we’re talking about the best tasting keto foods. We might not be nutritionists, but we know what foods taste good—keto or no. So, when we’re tasting keto groceries like keto bread, keto chips, keto bars, etc., we’re evaluating them based on how enjoyable they are to eat.

The keto food industry is seemingly booming. You can get the keto version of pretty much any food now—ice cream, bagels, salad dressing. There are even chicken skin chips now sold under the keto label. What we’re saying is, it’s a great time to be keto. You have options. But, unfortunately, a lot of them are just plain bad. We’ve tasted so many keto foods. Way more than we ever thought even existed. So let us advise you on the best keto food to buy. Here’s all the best keto snacks and more that we’ve tried throughout our taste tests.

Elevation Salted Caramel Keto Bar

This keto bar is the closest thing you can get to a candy bar while still keeping within keto-friendly constraints. “It smells like a caramel macchiato from Starbucks,” senior staff writer Jordan Myrick wrote in their ranking of the best keto bars. “It’s sweet, caramelly, and chocolatey.” And the texture is soft and pleasant unlike many of the other keto bars we tried, which were oddly sandy.

Best Keto Bread

Best Keto Bread

Sola Sweet Oat

This keto bread actually tastes like bread. Amazing. That’s because it’s made with wheat gluten, wheat starch, and wheat protein. So, no, it’s not gluten-free. But it still qualifies as keto with just 1g net carbs. Perfect for keto toast, keto sandwiches, keto bread crumbs—all your keto bread needs.

Chosen Foods Lemon Garlic

Get your garlic fix with this keto dressing. It’s tangy. It’s zesty. It is seriously garlicky. In her ranking of the best keto salad dressings, Gwynedd wrote that it smelled like garlic knots. And that is a very good thing. Don’t you want your salad to be more like garlic knots?

Best Keto Chips

HiLo Life Nacho Cheese

We were fans of HiLo Life’s lineup of keto chips. But the Nacho Cheese was the best of the bunch. “The salty, savory cheese flavor does a good job of masking any weirdness from the oils and almond flour and, unlike a lot of keto foods, these don’t have an aftertaste,” managing editor Gwynedd Stuart wrote in her ranking of the best keto chips.

Best Keto Ice Cream

Halo Top Sea Salt Caramel Keto Pops

For whatever reason, keto ice cream is better when it’s on a stick. It seems to be creamier. “Halo Top’s Sea Salt Caramel ice cream pop has a lovely, smooth-ish (for keto ice cream) texture, and a delightful salted caramel taste,” Danny wrote in his ranking of the best keto ice cream. It didn’t taste super keto-y, which is what we’re looking for.

Simply Nature Organic Keto Dark Chocolate Coconut Clusters

The bar for the best keto dessert is low. After tasting through a bunch of them, Jordan was pleased just to come across something that tasted like actual food. “Simply Nature Organic Keto Dark Chocolate Coconut Clusters promise two things: coconut and dark chocolate. They deliver on both accounts, plus they’re nice and crunchy,” they wrote in their ranking of the best keto desserts. They do have a touch of that fake sugar aftertaste, but only when you’re looking for it.

Best Keto Cereal

Catalina Crunch Cinnamon Toast Keto Friendly Cereal

This extremely crunchy keto cereal will stand up to milk. You don’t have to worry about it getting soggy. It’s slightly sweeter than classic Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but it’s just as toasty and cinnamon-y. It’s an excellent cereal to keep on hand, whether you’re keto or not. In fact, Sporked contributor Danny Palumbo took it home with him after the tasting. That’s high praise in action.

These massive bagels have good, stretchy insides and crispy, crunchy outsides. The everything seasoning adds savory flavor and texture. It’s great toasted—but you could eat it untoasted if you wanted to. “I would have no problem serving this to both keto folks and non-keto people,” editor-in-chief Justine Sterling wrote in her keto bagel ranking.

Ratio Strawberry Yogurt with Granola

You would never know this yogurt was keto yogurt unless you looked at the label. “It actually tastes like yogurt, and that alone makes it the best keto yogurt,” Jordan wrote in their ranking of the best keto yogurts. The mix of smooth, coconutty yogurt and crunchy granola makes for an extremely satisfying breakfast. If we decide to go keto, this will be a staple on our keto groceries list.
