When Dunkin’ launched Refreshers in 2020, it introduced a drink format that quickly became a key part of its menu. Did it know how successful they would be? Perhaps – Starbucks has had refreshers for 14 years, after all, so it had precedent – but perhaps not. Cut to six years later, though, and they’ve become almost as prominent as its regular and iced coffees, and the amount of work Dunkin’ has put into them throughout 2026 is a testament to this. This year, we’ve seen an abundance of new Refresher options (those on its recent Halloween menu being just some of them); we’ve seen it give away Refreshers by the bucketload, and we’ve seen it turn them into pocket-sized powder packets to buy in stores.

That last one was perhaps a precursor to what may be its biggest Refresher move yet. Canned Refreshers are dropping soon, and we’ve got a sneak peek at what to expect.
Dunkin’ Canned Refreshers
Dunkin’s Canned Refreshers have yet to be officially announced by the chain, but last week, these new canned options were spotted at the NACS Show in Las Vegas, a yearly convention that gives industry professionals a look at what brands have planned for the coming year. According to @snackolator and @SnackWire, its first canned Refreshers are due to drop in early 2027, potentially sometime in January. We can think of worse ways to kick off the year – and yes, these drinks don’t exactly have a wintry feel to them, but a start-of-2027 drop gives Dunkin’ plenty of time to get its customer base primed for summer.
Speaking of getting people primed for summer, the three flavors Dunkin’ will launch its Canned Refresher line with feel designed for warmer weather. Dunkin’s kicking things off with Strawberry Dragonfruit, Pineapple Mango, and Triple Berry flavors, all of which have a lemonade base. Like its in-store Refreshers, these drinks are caffeinated and infused with B vitamins. They will have 70 calories per can, and while it’s not clear yet where they’ll be sold, it’s fair to assume they won’t be too hard to find.
The Verdict
While we don’t yet have a full taste-test of Dunkin’s new canned Refresher range, @snackolator did report that the Triple Berry flavor hits the spot – and Dunkin’s playing it relatively safe with the first three options in what’s sure to be an expanding line. As such, we’re pretty confident these will be a hit. Starbucks has sold canned refreshers for well over a decade now, after all, and it recently brought out its Refresher Concentrates, so there’s a clear appetite for these kinds of drinks in premade form. Dunkin’ is just the latest to arrive at the grocery store party.
