Pros: Good lord, this is going to turn people’s faces inside out. GHOST has always been good at translating sour candy into energy drinks, but I think this is the sourest flavor yet. Green apple and strawberry are blasted with an industrial quantity of citric acid to deliver a flavor that will wake you up long before the caffeine gets to your brain. If you’ve enjoyed GHOST’s previous sour flavors, you’ll probably enjoy this one. If you want your energy drinks to hurt just a little bit, you’ll definitely enjoy this one.

Cons: While GHOST’s Sour Strips Rainbow Energy is fruity in an intentionally artificial way, GHOST Sour Strips AppleBerry Energy aims to evoke apple and strawberry. When those two flavors in particular are ramped up with this much tartness, the human brain connects the flavor with a real experience we’ve all had: eating unripe fruit. That isn’t a dealbreaker, but it is a hurdle to acknowledge.
