Everybody has a favorite ice cream flavor and, believe it or not, everyone also has a personality. So it stands to reason that everyone would also have an ice cream flavor that fits their personality based on their zodiac sign. That’s just science. Aries (March 21-April 19): Neapolitan
Here’s the thing: Neapolitan ice cream is a mix of the three most popular ice cream flavors that ever iced the cream, chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. So basically it is a mixture of only winners, and what do our likable Aries friends love to be? #1. And what do you get if you multiply #1 times three? Well, you actually get three. But if we ignore math for a sec, you just get an even more winning #1. Plus, name a person who absolutely hates Neapolitan. See? You can’t. I rest my case.
Taurus (April 20-May 20): Chocolate
Chocolate is a crowd-pleasing fave. It is smooth and creamy, but also has depth and complexity to make it one of the most interesting individual flavors out there. This is just like Tauruses. They also possess depth and complexity. Plus, both Tauruses and chocolate ice cream are calming presences and, not gonna lie, I frequently turn to both in a crisis.

Gemini (May 21-June 20): Cookies and Cream
Cookies and cream, yin and yang, Phineas and Ferb, one part of a Gemini’s personality and the other part of a Gemini’s personality—these are some of the most iconic duos this world has ever seen. Geminis are curious and energetic, but they can also do a complete 180 and be super stoic and calm. They can do it all…just like cookies and cream ice cream. Not sure what to have for dessert because half of you wants ice cream and the other half wants Oreos because you are a Gemini? This ice cream solves all of your problems. Or okay, at least that very specific problem.

Cancer (June 21-July 22): Strawberry
Strawberry ice cream is underrated. Everyone sees it and thinks “Nah, I’ll get an interesting flavor instead, thanks!” But those people have forgotten one critical thing: Strawberry ice cream, especially when it is done well, is so McFrickin good. But I’ve also been guilty of this. I’ve snubbed strawberry ice cream and then been blown away when I actually taste it. This is just like Cancers, who, at first glance, may seem a bit reserved, but once you get to know them, oh my, do they have a lot going on.

Leo (July 23-August 22): Ben & Jerry’s the Tonight Dough
Yes, this is a real Ben & Jerry’s flavor. Leos have big Jimmy Fallon energy—what can I say? Do you not constantly act like you are a late-night host and all of your friends are your guests? Huh, Leos? Also, this is not an ice cream you eat with cake or dress up with hot fudge to make a sundae. This is a main-event ice cream packed with mix-ins that would definitely steal the show. Nothing more Leo than that.

Virgo (August 23-September 22): Chocolate Caramel Brownie Halo Top
Virgos are on the go. They are sharp, they are fast, and that all makes sense because they gots to stay nimble so they can save the world someday. That’s why they are Sporked’s favorite flavor of Halo Top, a high protein, low sugar ice cream. Our busy busy Virgo friends can have their reasonable dessert and also a bunch of protein to fuel them in their daily adventures. Multitasking, baybee!

Libra (September 23-October 22): Vanilla Bean
Okay, hear me out. This is not a diss, this is a compliment. I need you all to think about vanilla bean ice cream for a second. A big ol’ scoop of it on a hot summer’s day. It’s cold, it’s smooth, it’s creamy, it’s not too sweet, and it has the deep, lovely, intoxicatingly complex taste of vanilla. Vanilla ice cream is a perfectly balanced, simple, elegant treat, just like hanging out with your balance- and harmony-loving Libra friends. Plus, both Libras and vanilla ice cream have this superpower where they can fit in no matter the friend group, situation, or dessert.

Scorpio (October 23-November 21): Mint Chocolate Chip
Mint is cool and mysterious and so are Scorpios. This choice was purely vibe-based, and the vibes don’t lie. I have nothing more to say on this.

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21): Ube
Sure, we all like Ube ice cream, but your Sagittarius friend knows what ube is and has probably even baked with it before. Sagittarians are always on the hunt for knowledge, adventures, and new experiences, so they just had to be this bright-purple, delicious sweet potato ice cream.
Capricorn (December 22-January 19): Rocky Road
Rocky Road just makes me think of mature and wise people, and no sign has older souls than Capricorns. Capricorns are the only sign I would trust to consistently pass that one marshmallow science experiment where they give kids a marshmallow and if they wait and don’t eat it right away they get two marshmallows instead of one (I’m aware that is a deep cut, but hey, I’m sure at least one of you majored in psych). Also, coincidentally, marshmallows are a key ingredient in Rocky Road. Oh yeah, it’s all coming together.
Aquarius (January 20-February 18): Van Leeuwen Hidden Valley Ranch
Aquarians are inventive and silly and “not like the other girls,” and I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that all of those things also apply to this Van Leeuwen Hidden Valley Ranch ice cream.
Pisces (February 19-March 20): Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food
Pisces is the fish sign, and fish is Phish, and Phish Food is food for phishes, and since Pisces is fish and fish is Phish then by the transitive property of ice cream zodiacs, Phish Food is phood for Pisces. Ya follow?
