Jollibee is my favorite fast food spot, and it’s not just me waving that flag. The chain has topped USA Today’s Best Fast Food Fried Chicken list for the last two years running. I wish we had time to cover how Jollibee’s spaghetti cured my disembarkment syndrome a few years ago, but there’s too much big news to share.

Starting April 21st, the new FINAL FANTASY XIV menu hits over 100 Jollibee stores all across North America. Yes, one of the best fast food chains in the game is partnering with one of the biggest MMORPGs on earth for a new collaboration all about chicken. Quite fitting for a video game series that always seems to feature giant birds…

What’s on the Jollibee x FINAL FANTASY XIV menu?

The Jollibee x FINAL FANTASY XIV menu consists of two different meals and a specialty drink. Luckily for us, both meals include that drink (which is actually the only new item on this menu). The FINAL FANTASY XIV Box Meal consists of an Original or Spicy Chicken Sandwich, one piece of “Chickenjoy” fried chicken, a Peach Mango Pie, fries, and the brand-new specialty drink. The FINAL FANTASY XIV 6PC Bucket Bundle consists of a six-piece “Chickenjoy” fried chicken bucket and three of those specialty drinks.

Ignoring that Jollibee thinks something I’ve ordered just for me multiple times should be shared with two other people, I’m glad there’s multiple meal options considering purchasing a meal is the easiest way to obtain the in-game “Eat Chicken” emote. This reward debuted back in 2023 as part of a collaboration with KFC… only in Japan. (I hope the C stood for Chocobo.) The rest of the global game’s playerbase have been jealous ever since; I fear we may see a repeat of some Szechuan Sauce-esque behavior. If you head to a Jollibee on your quest for this mythical reward, act right, or your white mages may never heal you.

What is the specialty drink?

Inspired by the “aetheryte” teleportation crystals found in-game, the “Blue Raspberry Aether with Crystal Boba” drink is a blue raspberry refresher with non-popping jelly boba served in a commemorative cup (while supplies last). While this promotion is active across the United States and Canada, our neighbors to the north won’t be sipping on this thematic beverage without a trip across the border. Per Jollibee, Canadian stores will offer the brand’s classic Pineapple Quencher in lieu of this bright blue beverage innovation.

If you’re not a FINAL FANTASY XIV player, go ahead and skip this next part. We’re about to get deep in the weeds on a nerdy topic.

How do I get the “Eat Chicken” in-game emote?

The easiest (and most delicious) way is to order one of the two FINAL FANTASY XIV Meals detailed above! If you aren’t lucky enough to live near a Jollibee location, you can also order one of the limited-edition Jollibee x FINAL FANTASY XIV merchandise items on sale at Complex.com starting April 21st.

After purchasing a qualifying meal or merchandise item, submit your receipt number and order information through the redemption page before December 1st, 2026. Once the order is validated, you’ll get a redeemable item code via email. After that, open up the Mog Station and click “Enter Item Code” to claim your hard-earned goods.
