Of Course, White Mystery AirHeads Are An Energy Drink Now

For over 30 years, White Mystery AirHeads have kept people guessing. What flavor is it? No one knows. That’s not because we haven’t figured it out yet; it’s because it changes depending on the taffy that’s just come out of the machines that made it. Maybe it’s a bit more accurate, then, to say that we know what it COULD be – but when you open a pack, there’s no telling what you’re actually going to get.

This is all relevant because we’re now getting a White Mystery AirHead energy drink, and it’s left me wondering what decisions they’re going to make with its flavor. Let’s dive in. 

RYSE Energy White Mystery

Yesterday, we learned that RYSE is bringing out a brand new White Mystery energy drink in the near future. There’s no concrete news just yet on exactly when it’s going to arrive, but we’ve seen a mockup of the can, folks, so…it’s in the works. This all feels very much in RYSE’s wheelhouse: The supplement brand loves a collaboration, and it sometimes feels like it’s a “the wackier the better” situation over there. A couple of months back, we got Firecracker Popsicle RYSE Fuel Energy, and just a few days ago we brought you the news that it was teaming up with Little Debbie on a new protein shake. It’s adventurous, to say the least. 

So is this new White Mystery flavor, both because of the collaboration with AirHeads for the unknown of it all. Energy drinks don’t tend to get mystery flavor releases in the same way that other foods do: It tends to be the reserve of candies, snacks, and other drinks (like SunnyD, which is bringing out a mystery flavor for Halloween). So we’re intrigued by this one…and again, questioning things slightly. 

Why?

Because of the aforementioned way that White AirHeads get their flavor. Because what you get in the pack is so variable and delivered almost by circumstance, we’re unsure how RYSE is going to decide the taste of this drink, and if I were a betting man, I’d say that they’re probably not going to be changing it with each can. The likelihood is that they’ll lead with one of the mystery flavor combos that shows up in White AirHeads – but wouldn’t it be fun if every drink was different? Could that happen? WILL that happen? We don’t know. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for this one, though.
