It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and we’re sorry if it still feels too early – but we can’t ignore what’s happening in front of our very eyes. Day by day, more Christmas items are appearing in stores and on menus, and at this point, we’re just yielding to it: In the last few days alone, we’ve seen Jeni’s Holiday Collection drop, and a new advent calendar and an incoming cookie from Oreo. Stores are getting in on the action with their private label lines, too, with Walmart’s Bettergoods ice cream line featuring a very new, very Christmassy flavor.

Now, it’s Target’s turn. The retailer is boosting its whipped topping and cold foam selection with five new and returning options under its Favorite Day umbrella, and they feel like they’re fully leaning into the Christmas spirit. Let’s discuss.
Target Favorite Day Whipped Toppings And Cold Foams
@candyhunting has just revealed that Target’s seasonal Favorite Day whipped toppings and cold foams are heading to stores this week, and if you’re not feeling festive yet, you will be soon. We’ve got two new options and three revivals – and they are…
- New – Crème Brûlée Whipped Dairy Topping
- New – Holiday Nog Cold Foam
- Returning – Peppermint Whipped Dairy Topping
- Returning – Sugar Cookie Cold Foam
- Returning – Gingerbread Whipped Dairy Topping
First, let’s talk about the new flavors. Because they’re not out yet, it’s hard to get a handle on what they actually taste like – but for my money, both of them sound decent. I’m slightly more excited by the Crème Brûlée Whipped Dairy Topping, though (and that’s not just because I’m not a huge fan of cold foam…shh, don’t tell anyone). If Target manages to nail the burnt, caramelized sugar flavors in this one, it’ll be totally glorious.
And What About The Returning Flavors?
Well, they’re all good, if customer reviews from last year are anything to go by. The Peppermint was perhaps the weakest of the three in terms of response, with some people saying that it had a slightly unbalanced, off-putting flavor, but the majority of folks enjoyed it. The Gingerbead flavor, meanwhile, hit just right with its festive, spicy notes. It was the Sugar Cookie Cold Foam that was the runaway favorite, though: It went down a storm with customers thanks to its light, bright, sweet flavor. Just bear in mind that some people said it’s slightly thicker than you might expect from a cold foam, though. Anyway — we’ll let you be the judge when they arrive in stores. Keep on the lookout.
