Surprise! 7-Eleven Quietly Launched a Nerds Gummy Clusters Slurpee

I’ve covered some wild Slurpee collaborations in my time at Sporked. Ignoring all the Slurpee-flavored products (Twinkies, almonds, Drumsticks, etc.), I’ve put frozen OREO/Coke, Shaqalicious pineapple, and Green Day grape slushies into my body for you good people. There’s one thing those flavors had in common though: I knew they were coming. Whether 7-Eleven shared the news with me directly or I just heard rumors through the grapevine, I always knew when to expect a shiny new Slurpee flavor…until now.

Today’s topic totally snuck up on me. There I was, looking for the newest Monster Energy, when I see a new Slurpee collaboration with Nerds? Not just Nerds, not just Nerds Gummy Clusters, but Nerds Juicy Gummy Clusters—the award-winning innovation that dared to ask “what if Nerds Gummy Clusters were a little wet?” If you haven’t tried the candy yet, hunt them down ASAP—I absolutely loved them. The Slurpee scientists must love them too; this candy has been out for less than two months and it’s already been Slurpee-fied! Yes, this new “Nerds Juicy Gummy Clusters Strawberry Slurpee” is a real mouthful—figuratively and literally.

Is this the first Nerds Slurpee?

Photos have floated around for months of Nerds labels on Slurpee machines—but they were only Grape or Strawberry Nerds. I waited and waited for an official announcement, but nothing ever came through the PR pipeline. I ended up tossing the news into the “test product we’ll never see again” trash can in my brain. You can imagine my confusion when I saw a third Nerds Slurpee variant for the very first time in-person—and I could even buy one! (It’s a little embarrassing how often I see non-functioning Slurpee machines.)

Where can I get a Nerds Juicy Gummy Clusters Slurpee?

Slurpee flavors get cycled out as soon as the previous option sells out, so it’ll really depend on your local 7-Eleven (or Speedway/Stripes, since the three brands all offer the same Slurpee promotions).
