Frito-Lay is constantly pumping out new releases. It feels like it was just last month that we shared a whole list of goodies that would be hitting stores this year (and that’s because it was just last month). But the hype train at Frito-Lay never slows down and we’ve gotten word of even more releases that are coming this year! Here are more than 20 new Frito-Lay snacks coming at you in 2025.
New Hot Cheetos flavors
Thanks to Snackolator on Instagram, we know that Cheetos Crunchy Nashville Hot is making its triumphant return and bags are showing up on shelves right now. Listings seem to suggest it may be Dollar General exclusive, but that is not confirmed yet. But that’s not the only new spicy Cheetos flavor coming at ya: Flamin’ Hot Crunchy Dill Pickle Cheetos are getting a release in February.
New Fritos Flavor Twists
I am a huge fan of Fritos Flavor Twists Honey BBQ (they’re some of the best BBQ chips, according to Sporked). But now we can add a few more Fritos Flavor Twists to our shopping list. First up, sources tell us that Fritos Flavor Twists Queso will be making a return (no word yet if they will be Dollar General exclusive as they were last time), and the brand new Jalapeño & Lime Flavor Twists will be gracing the shelves as well. Sources say both of these are set to hit stores in May.
New Mystery Lay’s
I loved the Mystery Doritos flavor from last year, so I am super excited that Frito-Lay plans to launch not one, but three different Mystery Lay’s flavors towards the end of April! Of course the details here are pretty limited as they are— of course—a mystery, but we will be watching this spot.
New Doritos flavors
It’s never a party without Doritos and we’ve gotten word there will be two more new Doritos flavors to add to the invite list: Spicy Queso Doritos and Hot Korean BBQ Doritos. Unfortunately we don’t know the timeframe of these releases just yet, but I am desperately refreshing my feeds to get the details because I need those Hot Korean BBQ Doritos immediately.
Returning Lay’s and Doritos flavors
Sources tell us that Frito-Lay plans to re-release several fan favorite flavors of Lay’s and Doritos this summer: Ketchup, Mustard, and Pickle Doritos, as well as Salsa Fresca and Wavy Cuban Sandwich Lay’s.
Even more new chips (and a salsa!)
We’re hearing that Frito-Lay plans to release Sour Cream & Onion Funyuns, Smoky BBQ Ruffles, and Honey Habanero Ruffles in March. In April, we’ll see two products that I think I’m probably going to be trying together: Sweet Lime & Sea Salt Tostitos Scoops and Ghost Pepper Tostitos Salsa! (Pace brought the heat when they released Ghost Pepper Habanero Salsa, so we’ll be watching to see if Tostitos can do the same!) Additionally, fans of Lay’s Kettle Cooked Lime & Cracked Pepper will be pleased to know that these will also be making a return in April.
And one returning chip we didn’t ask for
Our own Jordan Myrick recently revealed a list of Sporked’s most disappointing releases, which included Baja Blast Fiery Mango Doritos. And, in a cruel twist of events (possibly aimed specifically at tormenting the Sporked crew), Frito-Lay is bringing them back. Sporked’s Justine Sterling gave them a not-so glowing review. So, needless to say, we won’t be sprinting to the grocery store to buy this one when it returns.
