There’s a New Baja Blast Spinoff Coming in 2025

It’s been a great year for Mountain Dew: Baja Blast is here to stay, Baja Spinoffs Point Break Punch and Laguna Lemonade made their debut, a potential rebranding is coming, and three new patriotic flavors are on their way, but we’ve already got our sights set on next year. And, if the rumors are to be believed, we Pepsico (makers of Mtn Dew) aren’t going to let us down.

Previously we’d shared the news that a Baja Blast spinoff inspired by a cocktail is hitting shelves next year, and our sources tell us that this may not be the only Baja Blast spinoff on its way. Enter Baja Cabo Citrus. According to @teamsupernovafb, Pepsi is gauging interest from fans and potential buyers now for a release in 2025.

What will Mtn Dew Baja Cabo Citrus taste like?

The artwork on the label gives us some clues as to what sorts of flavors we can expect in this new Baja Blast flavor: mango, lime, orange, and grapefruit. So, if we break down the name, we’ve got citrus (lime, orange, grapefruit) and, apparently, Cabo is represented by mango. It’s essentially a tropical citrus punch.

Fans of Mtn Dew may be quick to note that there are some similarities between this new Baja Blast flavor and other Mtn Dew flavors. Mango and lime are both prominently featured in Mtn Dew Overdrive, a flavor exclusive to Casey’s, a Midwestern chain of general stores. And lime and grapefruit are featured in next year’s Baja Blast Paloma Punch.

While we understand that some fans are getting “tropical punch fatigue” when it comes to Mtn Dew, I personally think it goes to show how truly versatile a tropical punch can be. And I know I will be having a Baja Blast when I try this new take. (Don’t boo me, I’m right.)
