The New Red Bull Spring Edition 2026 Is Finally Here

Thank goodness, we finally have a new Red Bull flavor to talk about. While I loved last month’s return of the fan-favorite Iced and Peach Editions, I’m glad we’re getting a truly new Red Bull flavor…well, sort of. While this isn’t an entirely “new” flavor, it’s certainly new to us; let’s get into what gives Red Bull Spring Edition 2026 wings.

What is Red Bull Spring Edition 2026?

Red Bull Spring Edition 2026 is Cherry Sakura. Translated, that makes this new Red Bull “Cherry Cherry Blossom” flavored, which is actually accurate! Per Red Bull, this new flavor contains “cherry, cherry blossom (sakura), and a touch of almond.” I haven’t tried it yet, but peer and pal SnachWithZach noted that the floral aspect is approachable alongside the tart cherry semi-sweetness. (He also said the touch of almond comes off as banana; here’s hoping that’s not too confusing.) Red Bull is sending over samples as we speak; stay tuned for a full review coming to Sporked ASAP.

How is Red Bull Spring Edition 2026 “new”?

While this new Red Bull is debuting in the United States, the concept has been around for a while. Cherry blossom is a quintessentially Japanese flavor, so it makes plenty of sense that Red Bull Japan released a sakura flavor as their first-ever Spring Edition back in 2016. Now, ten years later, we’ll get to try it here in the States. The Japanese release featured a very similar hot pink to last year’s Wild Berries Pink Edition. To avoid confusion, Red Bull Spring Edition 2026 will feature a new white-and-red can design rather than the hot pink used previously.

When will Red Bull Spring Edition 2026 hit shelves?

The new Red Bull Cherry Sakura energy drinks are rolling out to shelves now in full sugar and Sugarfree. I’m again begging Red Bull to switch their Sugarfree Editions to the sweetener mix used in the Red Bull Zero reformulation that debuted last year. Red Bull Zero is the best zero-sugar version of a full-sugar energy drink on shelves today, and I’d love to see that innovation brought to the rest of the lineup.
