We’re Pretty Sure Peach Sprite Tea Is Coming to Kroger

Sprite + Tea was divisive to say the least. This TikTok-trend-inspired release turned heads last year when it dropped in both full sugar and an absurdly rare zero-sugar. The tea-flavored soda must have sold well, because Sprite + Tea is expanding globally this year with Green Tea and Jasmine Tea variants. While I haven’t heard anything to suggest we’ll see those drinks stateside, if my sources are to be believed, we are allegedly getting a Peach Sprite + Tea in the near future.

Folks, let’s define the word “allegedly” before we go any further. Nothing I’m about to say has been confirmed by the Coca-Cola Company, nor would I expect official confirmation until the drink is already on shelves. That being said, I’ve got a pretty good track record for covering early releases that turn out to be accurate. This is as confirmed as unconfirmed news gets, in my experience.

What is Sprite + Tea Peach?

The original Sprite + Tea was described as a LEMON-LIME AND TEA FLAVORED SODA. I can confirm this new Peach variant is described as a LEMON-LIME, TEA, AND PEACH FLAVORED SODA. I’m sure there are technical or legal reasons why they have to split up the words rather than saying PEACH TEA FLAVORED, but it’s still strange to my eyes.

When and where can I find Sprite + Tea Peach?

Per my sources, Sprite + Tea Peach will only be available at the Kroger family of stores. That chain has been locking down tons of exclusive products recently: GHOST energy drinks, swicy Peeps, 7UP sodas, and even a KBBQ Red Baron pizza. Kroger is no stranger to exclusive Sprite variants either; the massive chain was the exclusive home to the cookie-flavored “Sprite Vanilla Frost” for the last two holiday seasons.

As for when this new Sprite Tea variant will hit shelves, I’ve been told to expect this around the end of July. Considering peach tea is a particularly summery drink, I’m looking forward to using this to toast the last few weeks before we get into the kind of weather I can actually breathe in. I haven’t heard anything that suggests this will be a permanent release; this definitely feels like a limited-time-only variant, but stranger things have happened.
