Y’all, we’re so back. Yes, we’ve gotten our first official confirmation that Red Bull Winter Edition 2024, aka Iced Vanilla Berry, aka Iced Gummy Bear, aka “the Red Bull flavor people are always demanding the return of in my comments/DMs” is returning to shelves—under the new name Red Bull Ice Edition. We’ll get into the details of exactly where this energy drink is returning to shelves later, but speaking broadly, Red Bull is making more of this fan-favorite flavor. That’s worth celebrating! This is the best new Red Bull flavor we’ve had in a long time, so bringing it back as a permanent flavor feels like an absolute no-brainer. Let’s get into the details.

Has Red Bull officially announced anything regarding the return of the the Artist Former Known as Red Bull Winter Edition?

Let me burst your bubble real quick: As of right now, the only official news that I have to share is that this flavor is being brought back in Germany. The product image was recently added to Red Bull Germany’s online list of flavors. That said, Red Bull’s flavor innovations are becoming more and more globally consistent, so…I have a feeling we’re gonna get some good news domestically pretty soon.

So last year’s Red Bull Winter Edition isn’t coming back to America?

At this stage, I have no official confirmation that Red Bull Winter Edition 2024 is returning to America. While I am reasonably confident based on what I’ve heard/seen from various sources across the beverage industry, I have to be transparent about what I’ve gotten from my Red Bull PR contact.

Do seasonal Red Bull flavors frequently become permanent?

At this point, it seems like any given seasonal Red Bull has a 50/50 chance of becoming a permanent flavor. Many of our current permanent Red Bulls started out as seasonal options: Sea Blue and Coconut Berry both started as Summer Edition flavors, while the last three flavors known as Green Edition started as Summer Edition flavors as well. Red Bull Green Edition is basically a ceremonial title passed from summer flavor to summer flavor, overtaking each other as the older flavor weakens on the throne.

Red Bull is basically using their two annual limited-edition releases to test whether the flavors are worth making permanent. Let me tell you, Iced Vanilla Berry made a big impression on everyone I know inside the Red Bull machine. I said it earlier, but to reiterate: Bringing this flavor back permanently should be a no-brainer.

Which international Red Bull flavor do you want to see return?
