Peeps Is Springing Three New Flavors On Us

Oh, Peeps. These marshmallow treats have been slowly creeping beyond their Easter basket territory for years now. Luckily for us, when they do step beyond their basket-grass turf into the mean streets of year-round seasonal retail, they bring new flavors into the mix. Past favorites of mine include Dr Pepper, Rice Krispies Treats, and Sour Watermelon. This time around, Peeps is kicking off the Easter season a little early with three new flavors – one of which has been on my radar for 8 months. Let’s get into this trio of sugary chicks we can’t wait to start jousting with.

What are the new Peeps flavors?

If you know where to look, you’ll see Chili Lime Mango, Sunny D, and Frosted Strawberry Pop-Tarts hit shelves soon. While the first two flavors caught me by surprise, I’ve been waiting for these Frosted Strawberry Pop-Tarts Peeps since last May. Back at Sweets & Snacks Expo 2025, Just Born (Peeps’ parent company) revealed they were working on these toaster pastry-inspired Peeps. I’m glad these are finally coming to stores; this feels like a cosmic balancing after those Protein Pop-Tarts for meatheads hit shelves.

Where can I get the new Peeps?

Since nothing is simple, these three Peeps each have a different asterisk attached to their availability. Those swicy Chili Lime Mango Peeps are exclusively available at the Kroger family of stores. (If there aren’t any stores called Kroger near you, look into the full list of Kroger-owned chains to see if you might be able to find these at a different store.) The Sunny D Peeps are exclusive to Target where, full disclosure, I actually found them on shelves last week. And, luckily for all of us, the Frosted Strawberry Pop-Tarts Peeps will be available anywhere large varieties of Peeps are sold.

Are any other exciting Peeps flavors hitting stores?

Oh, there are tons of Peeps hitting shelves. In terms of flavors, you’ll be able to find the following options for the Peep-heads in your life: Mike and Ike, Dr Pepper, Rice Krispies Treats, Cotton Candy, Party Cake, Sour Watermelon, Chocolate Pudding, and plenty of jumbo/chocolate-dipped/kebab/jelly bean variants.
